COVID-19 – A Message from our Superintendent Pharmacist
Firstly we would like to thank you all for being valued customers of Menschem. We hope that in this difficult time you all keep safe and well.

We strongly advise all patients to follow government advice with regards to the spread of COVID-19. The advice is changing constantly so we advise that you visit the Government Coronavirus page regularly. Updated advice can be found at

We are writing to you all to keep you updated with measures we are taking to ensure fair and safe service availability throughout this difficult time and give you an update with regards to stock availability.


Royal Mail have suffered significantly as a result of Coronavirus. They are having delays in large parts of the country.
Royal Mail are delivering items however all items sent with the Royal Mail 24 service and taking over 5 days to be delivered and up to 10 working days in more remote parts of the country.

Royal Mail have made changes to their ‘Signed For Service’ which may impact your deliveries. The following statement was released by Royal Mail and we urge you to familiarise yourself with their process.

‘In order to protect both our people and customers as much as possible, we will not be handing over our hand-held devices to customers to capture signatures. Postmen and women will instead log the name of the person accepting the item. This will apply to all deliveries that require a signature.

Additionally, for all customers (including those who are self-isolating) where we need to deliver any parcel that won’t fit through your letterbox, we will place your item at your door. Having knocked on your door, we will then step aside to a safe distance while you retrieve your item. This will ensure your item is delivered securely rather than being left outside.

If you are unable to come to the door at all we will issue a ‘Something for You’ card, advising of other ways you can arrange to get your item. For example, by getting a friend or family member to collect the parcel from our local Customer Service Point on your behalf. In this situation, and to keep your mail as secure as possible, they will need to bring along the card we left you and a form of ID in the name of the person the item is addressed to. In the event that Royal Mail cannot make deliveries nationwide we are working with other couriers to ensure service availability. Our delivery page will be updated if there are any changes to our service.

Stock Availability

Currently we do have sufficient stocks for most of our common medications, however sourcing more stock does seem to be a little more difficult than anticipated. If we continue to face difficulties in sourcing stock we will have to temporarily reduce the maximum quantity of tablets we can prescribe to ensure continuity of supply to more of our common products. We have reduced quantities on some strengths of Vardenafil and are currently unable to source Propecia 1mg Tablets. Our website will be updated informing you of this change. We are also unable to guarantee the availability of some generic variations of medications. If you do require a specific generic please reply to your order confirmation email immediately after placing an order.

Reducing Transmission

At Menschem Pharmacy we take patient safety very seriously and want to ensure that we offer a reliable service that you can trust. All colleagues who have roles which are non-essential to the running of the dispensary are working remotely to minimise contact with other colleagues. We have ensured that this complies with all GDPR and GPhC guidelines and personal information accessed is not accessed on personal devices. This may impact the time taken to answer phone calls, however you can leave a message and we will call you back. Colleagues in the dispensary are wearing FFP3 Face Masks and gloves when dispensing and packing medications and when in contact with third party visitors (e.g. delivery drivers) reducing the risk passing the infection on. We are also ensuring government advice about washing hands is followed by our colleagues.


Since we launched 18 months ago we have made numerous changes to our service and products and have reviewed and reduced prices to beat our competitors. We take feedback from our customers seriously and if you would like us to make any changes in our service please reply to this email.
